JNS
Like most Mexican teen acts such as Timbiriche and La Onda Vaselina, the girl group Jeans constantly renewed their roster during their tenure, while functioning as a breeding ground for future pop stars. Former members include, among others, Patsy Sirvent, Litzy, Karla Díaz-Leal, Regina Murguía, Melissa López, and Dulce María. The group enjoyed considerable commercial success in the mid-'90s, but eventually dissolved in 2008 due to a loss of popularity and some acrimonious legal disputes between members and management. Jeans returned in 2015 with a lineup comprising Karla Díaz, Angie Taddei, Melissa López, and Regina Murguía to promote the brand-new live album Dèja Vu and launch a triumphal Mexican tour. Yet another legal entanglement forced the singers to change their name to JNS in 2017, when they also released a new studio album titled Metamorfosis.
