Jassi Jasbir

Jasbir Singh Bains, better known as Jasbir Jassi, is an Indian singer, lyricist, performer, and actor. He was born on February 7, 1970, in Gurdaspur, Punjab. Raised by Sikh parents Ajit Singh and Prakash Kaur, Jasbir Jassi got his start in the entertainment business by participating in musical plays and giving performances at cultural centers. He made his official debut in the Punjabi film industry in the late 1980s, lending his voice to the soundtrack of movies such as Passport and Zakhmi. Channa Ve Teri Channani, his first studio album, was released in 1993. This was followed by a series of commercially successful albums throughout the following decade, including Dil Le Gayee (1998), Kudi Kudi (1999), Nishani Pyar Di (2001), Just Jassi (2002), Mukhda Chann Varga (2004), and Akh Mastani (2007). During this time, he scored hits with songs such as "Dil Le Gayee Kudi Gujarat Di" from his second album and the title track "Kudi Kudi" from his third studio effort. Jasbir Jassi also toured internationally, expanding his market reach. In 2011, he made his silver screen debut in the film Khushiyaan, playing the lead role. In addition, he has enjoyed great popularity as a playback singer, recording memorable songs such as "Laung Da Lashkara" from Patiala House (2011), "Koka" from Khandaani Shafakhana (2019) and "Ek Onkar'' for Kesari (2019).
