Chri$tian Gate$
Emerging into the mainstream with 2020 hit “Numb,” Orange County-based vocalist Chri$tian Gate$ builds tales of conflicting relationships with his blend of modern pop-rap and pop/rock styles.
Debuting in 2019 with "Skitzo," singer and rapper Chri$tian Gate$ spent his early career between pop and rap avenues, falling toward more mainstream sounds with the melodic pop-trap of early singles “Stayin’ Up,” “High,” and “Lost.” Building an image around stories of troubled love, he first found viral success with a remix of Royal & the Serpent’s “Overwhelmed,” which racked up over 50 million streams. This was shortly followed by Gate$’ major breakout “Numb,” a rapid-fire breakup anthem led by an infectious guitar riff that gave the vocalist a real moment in the spotlight and garnered over 100 million streams. He moved through 2022 with the rock-directed singles “Dangerous State of Mind” and “Traumatized” before releasing his debut EP, Why Do I Hear Breathing?, in March 2023.
