Asya
Asya is the stage name of Tülay Keçialan, a Turkish pop singer who began releasing a string of popular solo albums during the mid-1990s. Born in Eskişehir on February 24, 1965, she performed as a backup singer for Nilüfer from 1990 through 1994, during which time Nilüfer released career-defining hits like "Show Yapma." When Asya embarked upon a solo career in 1994, she did so with her former employer's help, recruiting Nilüfer as the producer of her debut album, Vurulmuşum Sana. Nilüfer reprised her role as producer on Asya's second record, 1996's Asya, and also contributed heavily to 1999's Masum. With 2002's Dönmem Yolumdan, Asya began downsizing the number of collaborators who contributed to her albums, focusing upon her own songwriting instead. Aşktır Beni Güzel Yapan showcased those compositional skills in 2007, followed by Aşk İz Bırakır in 2014. Following a six-year hiatus, Asya returned in 2020 with the single "Unutup Gitti."
