Alfa

The Italian rapper popularly known as Alfa was born Andrea De Filippi in Genova in 2000. Hailing from the neighborhood of Quarto dei Mille, he began his music studies at the age of 8, taking guitar and piano lessons. During his teenage years, he participated in several freestyle battles in his city and then made his debut in 2018 with the single “Dove Sei?,” followed by the ¥EM collaborative single “Prima o Poi” and “Disegno.” Following the release of “Tempo al Tempo” and “Testa tra le Nuvole, Pt. 1” in 2019, Alfa scored his first Top 10 hit with the single “Cin Cin,” which obtained triple-platinum certification and was included in his gold-selling debut album Before Wanderlust. In 2020, his track “Sul Più Bello” was featured on the original soundtrack of the film of the same name, directed by Alice Filippi. Preceded by the singles “San Lorenzo” with singer Annalisa and “Snob” with fellow rapper Rosa Chemical, his sophomore effort Nord finally saw the light in May 2021. That year, the non-album single “Ci Sarò” entered the Italian Top 100 at Number 97.
