La pièce centrale de l'album est la Sonate pour alto, dernière oeuvre du compositeur créée après sa mort, dans laquelle le lent et vibrant finale basé sur la sonate "Clair de Lune" (No. 14) de Beethoven sonne comme une forme d'hommage à son illustre prédécesseur.
