À une époque où les critères d'interprétation de la musique baroque évoluent très vite, voilà une intégrale de l'œuvre pour clavecin de Rameau qui n'a pas pris une ride. Enregistré sur deux beaux clavecins (un Hemsch du XVIIIe siècle et une copie d'un clavecin Rückers-Hemsch construit par Anthony Sidey) en 1989 et publié en 1991, ce disque de Christophe Rousset est devenu un classique sans cesse réédité. La beauté du son, le choix judicieux des phrasés et des tempi, la finesse de l'ornementation, la fantaisie de l'interprétation combleront tous les amateurs de clavecin. Ces pièces sont un véritable laboratoire pour Rameau qui y met en place sa propre écriture avant d'y puiser la substantifique moelle qui alimentera ses futurs opéras. © FH/Qobuz
