La Mozart 250, ce n’est pas la dernière moto fabriquée à Salzbourg par une firme japonaise aux trois diapason, mais bien une collection rassemblant deux cent cinquante pistes mozartiques provenant d’un total de 22 CD, pour vingt six heures de Wolfgang Amadeus. Cette impressionnante brouette couvre des époques d’enregistrement allant de années 60 à l’an 2000, des labels anciennement séparés que furent Decca, Philips et la DGG, et des artistes aussi divers que Bernstein, des genres allant de la symphonie au concerto, de la sérénade au quatuor, de la messe (les œuvres sacrées sont proposées en entier) à l’extrait d’opéra (aucun opéra entier, attention, hein… des arias et ensembles seulement), ainsi que quelques sonates pour piano, par des artistes tels que Abbado, Harnoncourt, Karajan, Gardiner, Solti, Jochum, Mehta, Colin Davis, le Quatuor Emerson, Gideo Kremer, le Melos Quartet, Maria João Pires, Itzhak Perlman, Barenboim, Ashkenazy, Mitsuko Uchida et cent autres noms quasiment-mythiques. La Mozart 250, ce n’est pas la dernière moto fabriquée à Salzbourg par une firme japonaise aux trois diapason, mais bien une collection rassemblant deux cent cinquante pistes mozartiques provenant d’un total de 22 CD, pour vingt six heures de Wolfgang Amadeus. Cette impressionnante brouette couvre des époques d’enregistrement allant de années 60 à l’an 2000, des labels anciennement séparés que furent Decca, Philips et la DGG, et des artistes aussi divers que Bernstein, des genres allant de la symphonie au concerto, de la sérénade au quatuor, de la messe (les œuvres sacrées sont proposées en entier) à l’extrait d’opéra (aucun opéra entier, attention, hein… des arias et ensembles seulement), ainsi que quelques sonates pour piano, par des artistes tels que Abbado, Harnoncourt, Karajan, Gardiner, Solti, Jochum, Mehta, Colin Davis, le Quatuor Emerson, Gideo Kremer, le Melos Quartet, Maria João Pires, Itzhak Perlman, Barenboim, Ashkenazy, Mitsuko Uchida et cent autres noms quasiment-mythiques. Autrement dit, vingt-six heures du plus grand Mozart, d’enregistrements réalisés à la grande époque discographique quand les grands labels savaient développer une sonorité spécifique, un lien privilégié avec les artistes, une politique éditoriale et artistique de haut niveau.
