One of bandleader Gerald Wilson's lesser-known Pacific Jazz LPs, this album features his distinctive arrangements of five originals, an obscurity, and two standards (a reworking of "Out of This World" and "Do I Love You Because You're Beautiful"). None of the individual tunes or performances on this out of print set caught on (nor would any make it into Wilson's greatest-hits collections), but the overall music is pleasing and swinging. Among the sidemen are tenormen Harold Land and Hadley Caliman, altoist Anthony Ortega, vibraphonist Bobby Hutcherson, and guitarist Joe Pass.
