Zum 50jährigen Jubiläum der Doors erschien 2017 eine Compilation mit dem Titel The Singles. Die bietet auf zwei CDs mit 44 Tracks nicht einfach eine weitere Best-of-Zusammenstellung der Band, sondern versammelt tatsächlich die A- und B-Seiten klassischer Singles wie "Break on Through (To the Other Side)", "Light My Fire" und "Riders on the Storm". Im Gegensatz zu anderen Compilations hört The Singles nicht beim Tod von Jim Morrison auf, sondern holt spätere Doors-Veröffentlichungen und posthum erschienene Singles ebenso ins Boot. Hinzu kommen Mono-Radioversionen einiger Stücke. Weil sich die Zusammenstellung rein auf 45er-Singles konzentriert, fehlen allerdings klassische Doors-Songs wie "Strange Days", "The End" oder "L.A. Woman". Dafür enthält die Deluxe-Version noch einen Quadrophonie-Mix von The Best of The Doors (1973) auf BluRay. Außerdem erschien eine 7"-Box mit Reproduktionen der 20 US-Singles.

Zum 50jährigen Jubiläum der Doors erschien 2017 eine Compilation mit dem Titel The Singles. Die bietet auf zwei CDs mit 44 Tracks nicht einfach eine weitere Best-of-Zusammenstellung der Band, sondern versammelt tatsächlich die A- und B-Seiten klassischer Singles wie "Break on Through (To the Other Side)", "Light My Fire" und "Riders on the Storm". Im Gegensatz zu anderen Compilations hört The Singles nicht beim Tod von Jim Morrison auf, sondern holt spätere Doors-Veröffentlichungen und posthum erschienene Singles ebenso ins Boot. Hinzu kommen Mono-Radioversionen einiger Stücke. Weil sich die Zusammenstellung rein auf 45er-Singles konzentriert, fehlen allerdings klassische Doors-Songs wie "Strange Days", "The End" oder "L.A. Woman". Dafür enthält die Deluxe-Version noch einen Quadrophonie-Mix von The Best of The Doors (1973) auf BluRay. Außerdem erschien eine 7"-Box mit Reproduktionen der 20 US-Singles.
