Sally Folk

Sally Folk is the stage name of Sophia d'Aragon Krim, a French-Canadian folk pop singer from Montreal. Born in 1982 to a Kabyle father and a Quebecois mother, she made her debut in 2009 with the English album Sally & Me, which enjoyed moderate success at a local level. Preceded by the hit single "Heureux Infidèles," her first French album Sally Folk was released in 2013 to great critical acclaim. Other singles from the album that received heavy radio airplay include "Révolver," "C'est vrai," and "7 jours." Over the next few years, she followed up with other well-received albums such as Deuxième acte (2015) and Troisième acte (2017) while also lending her voice to the Daniel Bélanger track "Sortez-moi de moi," the theme song to the Quebecois TV series of the same name, in 2021. After having its release date postponed twice due to the COVID-19 pandemic, her fifth album Ô Psychologue saw the light of day later that year, eliciting praise from fans and critics alike. Hailed as one of her most personal and more streamlined albums, Ô Psychologue was featured in the ADISQ web series Écoute mon Album. Répliques, a 5-track EP containing new versions of her biggest hits, arrived in 2022.
