Mosa Wild
An English indie combo with a thoughtful, pop-driven sound that has earned comparisons to acts like the National and the Maccabees, Mosa Wild rode the viral success of their lush 2016 single, "Smoke," to a record deal with Glassnote which issued the group's 2019 EP Talking in Circles.
Formed in Ashford, Kent by singer/guitarist Jim Rubaduka, guitarist Alex Stevens, bassist Edwin Ireland, and drummer Charlie Campbell, Mosa Wild found a willing audience for their debut single, "Smoke," a slow-burning anthem that notched millions of streams in its first year. The quartet ascended quickly and, based solely on their first single, began playing major U.K. venues and music festivals like Reading and Leeds while signing a deal with American label Glassnote Records. Their next track, "Night," arrived in 2019 and was included on their debut EP, Talking in Circles, later that year. After a tour supporting Maggie Rogers, Mosa Wild returned to studio work and re-emerged in early 2021 with "Cry Baby."
