Damon Sharpe

A songwriter, producer, and DJ, Damon Sharpe is known for his dance-oriented electronic pop. He is best known for his behind-the-scenes work, contributing to projects by a bevy of pop and R&B artists including Jennifer Lopez, Kylie Minogue, Big Time Rush, Alesso, and Pitbull, among others. As a solo artist, he has headlined DJ sets at EDC Vegas and SXSW, as well as released his own tracks including 2019's "Fire & Gold" with Morgan Page and VIVID. In 2022, he founded his own label, Brainjack Music. Born Damon Jared Reinagle in Cleveland, Ohio, Sharpe grew up in Phoenix, Arizona where he became interested in music at a young age. By the time he was 15, his parents had relocated to Los Angeles to help him pursue a performance career. In 1990, he was cast on the NBC musical sketch comedy show Guys Next Door, playing a member of the titular boy band. After the show ended, he transitioned into songwriting and producing, working first with Jennifer Lopez, Kylie Minogue, Justin Guarini, Kimberley Locke, Big Time Rush, and others. He also co-wrote and sang background vocals on Anastacia's "Love Is a Crime" off the soundtrack to the 2002 Oscar-winning film Chicago and contributed to the 2012 Pitch Perfect soundtrack. That same year he appeared as a vocal coach on season two of The X Factor. More songwriting and production credits followed, including tracks with BoA, Pitbull, Alesso, New Kids on the Block, and more. As a DJ, Sharpe has distinguished himself with sets at various festivals, including EDC Vegas and SXSW. In 2019, he scored a Top Ten dance radio hit with “Fire & Gold” featuring Morgan Page and VIVID. More tracks followed including "When in Rome" with GATTÜSO, "Ghost Ship" with Orjan Nilsen, and "Lifetime" with Zonderling and Josh Cumbee. In 2022, Sharpe marked the launch of his own Brainjack Music label with a DJ set at Las Vegas' Electric Daisy Carnival.
