Almondmilkhunni
A pop-R&B singer and songwriter whose inspirations range from Aaliyah to the contemporary and similarly frank likes of SZA and Summer Walker, Almondmilkhunni released her first single in 2019 and within a year inked a contract and issued her self-titled debut EP.
Philadelphia native Brandy Schwechler started singing as a youngster and joined her church choir at the age of 13. She honed her talent by harmonizing with songs by Aaliyah. While studying political science at Rutgers University, Schwechler opted to focus on making music. Shortly thereafter, in 2019, she made her debut under her performing name with the independently released single "Grapefruit." "Henni Heartbreak" arrived the following Valentine's Day, by which point she had signed a deal with Electric Feel Records. A third single, "Cherry," set up the April 2020 release of the Almondmilkhunni EP, which combined the preceding tracks with new material. Schwechler returned three months later with another single, "Damnboy."
