The German electro-pop band Frida Gold have a sound in the vein of La Roux and Little Boots, fronted by a strong female vocalist (whose name is not Frida Gold, but Alina Süggeler) and mixing synth pop hooks with dance beats -- no wonder the group was selected to open for Kylie Minogue. Their debut album, Juwel, reached number 14 in the German album charts, bolstered by their first single, "Zeig Mir Wie Du Tanzt" (which was first heard in a cell phone commercial).
