Yng Lvcas

Yng Lvcas is a charting rapper and songwriter from Guadalajara, in the Mexican state of Jalisco. His sound melds trap and 21st century reggaeton, and trap with electro cumbia threaded into his mix. His delivery is smooth, laid-back, and almost laconic. "La Bebe," the final track from his 2021 debut album LPM, registered more than 100 million streams to chart on its own; its video garnered millions of views on YouTube. After its release, Yng Lvcas' singles and videos began charting. In May 2022, "Molly & Perignon" registered more than half-a-million streams. In August, "X ELLA" charted on the Hot Latin Songs list and made the streaming charts, too. Subsequent releases have done at least as well including September's "Perreo Porky" (number 22). In March 2023, "La Bebe Remix," a collaboration with Featherweight (feat. Peso Pluma) was released by Warner Latina. It exploded. Its video garnered 40 million views during its first week, while the single entered the Hot Latin Songs chart at number 11 and peaked at three. Lvcas' release prompted renewed interest in the original single and the album that produced it. Nearly two years after its initial release, LPM entered the Top Latin Albums chart at number eight in April.
