Sky Rompiendo

Alejandro Ramírez Suárez, known by his stage name Sky or Sky Rompiendo, is an acclaimed musician and producer from Colombia. He was born in Bogotá on May 23, 1992, but raised in Medellín. His interest in music production began at age 11, after being exposed to the audio-editing software Fruity Loops. In 2011, he embarked on his music career, serving as a producer for Colombian singers on tracks including Shako's "Amor de Verano" and Yandar & Yostin's "Cripy Cripy." He adopted his current moniker, initially 'Sky', and later appended 'Rompiendo', during the production of J Balvin's "En lo Oscuro." Sky Rompiendo's career soared as he collaborated closely with reggaeton artist J Balvin on tracks such as "Yo Te Lo Dije," "Sola," and "6 AM," all part of Balvin's debut studio album La Familia (2013). The album peaked at Number 1 in Colombia and secured the tenth spot in the US Top Latin Albums chart. Sky Rompiendo gained international recognition in 2015 by co-producing "Ginza," a track that held a position on the Billboard Hot Latin Songs chart for 21 weeks. He has since produced all of J Balvin's studio albums, including Energía (2016), Vibras (2018), Colores (2020), and a collaborative album with Bad Bunny, Oasis (2019). His work has garnered him six Latin Grammy Awards, with accolades for Best Urban Music Album, Best Urban Song, and Best Pop/Rock Album. He has also received three nominations for Producer of the Year at the Billboard Latin Music Awards. In 2023, Sky Rompiendo released the track "El Cielo," a collaboration with Feid and Myke Towers
