Ronisia
Ronisia Mendes Morges (November 13, 1999), known mononymously as Ronisia, is a singer-songwriter from Cabo Verde. Born in the city of Tarrafal, she relocated to France with her family during her childhood and grew up in Grigny, Essonne. In 2019, she made her debut with the single "Plus de peine," followed by other tracks such as "Désolée" and "Parano." A year later, she released her breakout single "Atterrissage," which quickly went viral online and spawned a challenge on social media, accruing over 50 million views by early 2021. The single's overwhelming success helped her land a recording contract with Epic Records France, which issued the singles "Doucement," "Comme moi," and "Téco" later that year. Simply titled Ronisia, her studio debut appeared in 2022 and featured guest spots by Ninho, Eva, and Tiakola. In addition to Ronisia's earlier singles, the full-length also included the track "Mélodie (Tatami)" which, just like its parent album, reached Number 5 on the French charts.
