Red Jacket Mine
Red Jacket Mine began as a home recording project for singer/songwriter Lincoln Barr in the mid-'90s while he was living in Missouri. After moving to Seattle, Barr added drummer Andy Salzman, guitarist Patrick Porter, and bassist Ryan Chapman, developed a live set, and began work on an album. Hello, Old Cloud was released in early 2008 by Showpony Records and featured string arrangements by Eyvind Kang. The band's next album, 2009's Lovers Lookout, also featured Kang and was produced by the Posies' Ken Stringfellow. After replacing Chapman with new bassist Matthew Cunningham and adding keyboardist Daniel Walker, then releasing a string of 7" singles in 2012, the band came back strong with its third album. Someone Else's Cake was produced by Johnny Sangster and came out on the group's new label, Fin Records.
