Jubel

Jubël is a Swedish electronic duo known for their delicately rendered yet still buoyantly hooky dance-pop sound. They first garnered attention with their 2018 cover of "Dancing in the Moonlight" which hit the Top Ten in Sweden, paving the way for their 2019 debut album, Strawtown. Following the 6115 Orange St. EP (2021), they delivered more singles, including 2022's "Diamonds" featuring Aleyna Tilki, 2023's "Triple A" featuring NLE Choppa, and 2024's Lie to Me" featuring KIDDO. Hailing from Halmstad, Sweden, Jubël was formed in 2017 by songwriter, instrumentalist, and producer Sebastian Atas and primary lead singer, songwriter, and producer Victor Sjöström. They had worked on their own for several years before joining forces on the song "Illusion" with Neimy. It was used in an advertisement for H&M and helped build buzz for the group. In 2019, they cracked the Swedish Top Ten with their cover of the classic Boffalongo and King Harvest song "Dancing in the Moonlight," which also featured additional vocals by Neimy. That same year, the track was included on the duo's full-length debut, Strawtown, which reached number 16 in Sweden. A re-released version of "Dancing in the Moonlight" appeared in 2020 and further expanded the band's profile, hitting number 11 on the U.K. charts. More songs followed, including "On the Beach" and "Someone," the latter of which also reached the Top 20 in Sweden. Both tracks were included on the Strawtown EP. A second EP, 6115 Orange St., arrived in 2021 and included the track "Weekend Vibe" featuring Desi Crew. Over the next year, they delivered a string of stand-alone tracks, including "So Sick," "Diamonds" featuring Aleyna Tilki, "Lucky" with Noa Kirel, and "My Only Wish" featuring Christopher. In 2023, they released "Triple A," a non-album single featuring NLE Choppa. "Lie to Me" featuring KIDDO arrived in early 2024.
