Next To None
A tech-savvy and hard-hitting progressive metalcore outfit based of out Pennsylvania, Next to None draw inspiration from mercurial extreme metal outfits like Slipknot, Lamb of God, Korn, Tool, I See Stars, and Haken. Formed in 2013 around the talents of Thomas Cucé (vocals, keyboards), Derrick Schneider (guitar), Max Portnoy (drums), and Kris Rank (bass), the band released their acclaimed debut album, A Light in the Dark, via Inside Out Music in 2015 -- the LP was produced by Dream Theater co-founder Mike Portnoy, the father of drummer Max. Two years later the quartet returned with their sophomore full-length, Phases, again via Inside Out.
