C’est en effet derrière ce nom qu’il publie sur 30th Century Records, le label de Danger Mouse, son premier album solo, Youngish American, produit par Patrick Carney des Black Keys. Un disque assez éloigné du cocktail indie/world de Vampire Weekend et qui lorgne d’avantage vers la power pop et le rock indé.
