Trois semaines à peine après avoir diffusé We Don’t Trust You, Metro Boomin et Future dévoilent sa suite, We Still Don’t Trust You, qui complète le projet de 25 nouveaux titres,. Cette exceptionnelle productivité débouche parfois sur un manque de cohérence et sur l’inclusion de titres dispensables aux instrumentations aériennes et linéaires, à l’instar de « This Sunday » ou « Came to the Party ». Le rythme parfois lénifiant, au contraire de l’album précédent, alourdit par séquences l’album mais sa longueur permet au duo d’expérimenter, d’explorer d’autres genres, en saupoudrant sa trap de RnB et de synthpop comme sur la chanson-titre, « All by Myself » ou « Always Be My Fault » (le sommet de l’album) où apparaît The Weeknd. L’hédonisme sombre trouve son expression parfaite sur des beats minimalistes, des sonorités traînantes et des structures flottantes. Le rap tranchant d’A$AP Rocky sur « Show of Hands », l’intervention de Ty Dolla $ign sur « Gracious » ou le flow de J. Cole sur le rythme syncopé de « Red Leather » éclairent également l’album.

Trois semaines à peine après avoir diffusé We Don’t Trust You, Metro Boomin et Future dévoilent sa suite, We Still Don’t Trust You, qui complète le projet de 25 nouveaux titres,. Cette exceptionnelle productivité débouche parfois sur un manque de cohérence et sur l’inclusion de titres dispensables aux instrumentations aériennes et linéaires, à l’instar de « This Sunday » ou « Came to the Party ». Le rythme parfois lénifiant, au contraire de l’album précédent, alourdit par séquences l’album mais sa longueur permet au duo d’expérimenter, d’explorer d’autres genres, en saupoudrant sa trap de RnB et de synthpop comme sur la chanson-titre, « All by Myself » ou « Always Be My Fault » (le sommet de l’album) où apparaît The Weeknd. L’hédonisme sombre trouve son expression parfaite sur des beats minimalistes, des sonorités traînantes et des structures flottantes. Le rap tranchant d’A$AP Rocky sur « Show of Hands », l’intervention de Ty Dolla $ign sur « Gracious » ou le flow de J. Cole sur le rythme syncopé de « Red Leather » éclairent également l’album.
