One of the band's most remarkable productions, la Sonora Ponceña managed to reach the 1980s unscathed and scored many hits until the Puerto Rican salsa phenomenon was almost brought to a halt. "Mi Lindo Yambú," "Pensándolo Bien," "Huracán," and "Remembranzas" (arranged by Louis García) are deft examples of the band's masterful musical sense and choice of material. Vocalists Miguelito Ortiz and Toñito Ledée are nothing short of commendable.
