Parue en 2016 dans la foulée du maxi Life's What You Make It porté par la reprise du classique de Talk Talk, la compilation A Place for Us to Dream: 20 Years of Placebo se propose de souffler vingt bougies dans la carrière du groupe de rock alternatif britannique Placebo. L'approche nihiliste de Brian Molko et Stefan Olsdal se retrouve ainsi au fil de 36 titres reprenant les choses où Once More with Feeling: Singles 1996-2004 les avaient laissées en 2004, y ajoutant quelques perles issues du catalogue du groupe dans les douze années écoulées comme sa reprise du "Running Up That Hill" de Kate Bush ou les singles "Meds", "Infra Red" ou "Too Many Friends". Un accès de choix vers l'univers de Placebo pour les nouveaux venus.
