This album catapulted the talented singer into stardom; the Cuban singer belts it out with energetic zest and fury, as well as raw sensitivity. The title tune (composed by Ismael Miranda) remains his most celebrated hit. No other artist has transformed anger into the realms of the salsa arena with such determination; it is a fierce statement. "Oyeme Cantar" is among the singer's finest moments; in addition to this, the singer makes highly emotional statements with tunes like "Psicología" and "Una Audiencia Muerta." This album has remained one of the most important albums of the salsa scene and remains preferred by salsa and Betancourt followers. Arrangements by Javier Vazquez.
