Depuis l'adaptation de "In the Air Tonight" de Phil Collins par le groupe de nu-metal Nonpoint au titre "Ready for Love" de la chanteuse de R'n'B/folk India.Arie en passant par un remix house de Nina Simone, l'album papillonne d'un genre à l'autre, couvrant salsa, electronica et même rock progressif atmosphérique ("Auto Rock" de Mogwai). Éclectique, dynamique et fun, la B.O. de Miami Vice : deux flics à Miami complète bien le film, et offre un savoureux échantillon de plusieurs genres.
