Septième album des natifs d'Alberta, Here and Now demeure fidèle à l'esthétique de Nickelback, incarnation parmi les plus significatives du courant post-grunge / metalalternatif. Composé de titres secouants et d'autant de charges bien rock, puissantes, pas toujours légères, bien ancrées dans le metal, ce nouvel album, loin d'être révolutionnaire - et de toute évidence on ne cherche pas à l'être -, est dominé par des mélodies juteuses, des riffs efficaces, des rythmes jamais frénétiques, bref, un juste équilibre entre rugosité électrique et velours mélodique, facilité par le voix souvent chaleureuse de son leader Chad Kroeger.
