Le premier album de KT Tunstall, Eye to the Telescope, qui a fait un carton au Royaume-Uni, a fini par atteindre les États-Unis début 2006, un an après sa sortie. Sur ce disque de 12 chansons pleines d'assurance, la chanteuse-compositrice écossaise exploite une charmante veine de pop rock sensible et intelligente qui la situe quelque part entre Beth Orton et Sheryl Crow. La force de la musique de KT Tunstall réside dans sa voix cuivrée et émouvante, et la production audacieuse mais jamais exagérée de l'album ne fait qu'améliorer ses chansons. Même si on remarque particulièrement le titre discordant "Another Place to Fall", la mélodie accrocheuse de "Black Horse and the Cherry Tree" et le remuant "Suddenly I See", tout le disque est incroyablement bien ficelé, garantissant à coup sûr un avenir brillant pour KT Tunstall.
