Premier album de la chanteuse galloise Donna Lewis, Now in a Minute (1996) doit son succès au simple « I Love You Always Forever ».
Une entrée en matière honorable puisque celui-ci atteindra la cinquième place des charts britanniques et la seconde des classements américains et australiens. Chanteuse à la voix délicate, Donna Lewis affectionne les atmosphères vaporeuses, parfois un brin sombres («Nothing Ever Changes», «Love & Affection», «Lights of Life») ou candides («Simone», «Silent World»), parfois plus rythmées («Whithout Love», «I Love You Always Forever», «Fools Paradise»).
Accouchant d’un album au demeurant très homogène, cette auteur-compositrice se définit d’office par son style minimaliste constitué des nappes d’harmonies de synthétiseurs et de rythmiques électroniques. Une pop éthérée clairsemée de sonorités un soupçon rétro.
