Le pourcentage de chance qu’un artiste de reggae berlinois et l’avant-dernier fils de Bob Marley se rencontrent ? Faible, n’est-ce pas ? Pourtant, cela n’a pas empêché Gentleman de rejoindre Ky-Mani sur scène pour une reprise de Redemption Song. Depuis, les deux chanteurs sont devenus amis et voilà qu’ils collaborent en 2016 pour Conversations. Ethique, le duo transcende les paroles de ses chansons en prônant l’égalité, le rapprochement des populations et en se faisant le porte-étendard des opprimés. Conversations est intemporel en réunissant un reggae qui ne sait vieillir en y mêlant des propos universels. Quelques invités font leur apparition, comme Marcia Griffith sur Simmer Down (Control Your Temper). Les plus nostalgiques seront heureux d’entendre des samples de Bob Marley.
