Jusqu'à présent, François Morel s'était distingué en pitre dans la troupe des Deschiens (propulsés par Canal+ au rang de nouveaux ) ou dans de nombreux rôles décalés voire lunaires au cinéma. Le voici maintenant venu à la chanson, est-ce donc pour le meilleur ou pour le rire ?
Suite discographique d'un spectacle mis en scène par Jean-Michel Ribes au Théâtre du Rond-Point, cette Collection Particulière compte dix-sept petites pièces joliment écrites et interprétées par l'humoriste sur des musiques de Reinhardt Wagner. Tour à tour drôles, sensibles, nostalgiques et référencées, ces chansons livrent un bel éventail d'émotions d'où ressortent un subtil « Faut faire avec », de sacrées « Recommandations », le name-droppé « Etretat », le grandiose « Pompidou » ou le tendre et réussi « Papa ».
Ce ne sont que quelques-uns des bons moments d'une collection musicale éclectique où sont conviés Juliette et Vincent Delerm, et révèle un interprète-comédien qui a tout à fait sa place dans une lignée comptant pour prédécesseurs Bourvil, Boris Vian et Boby Lapointe. Vivement conseillé.
