Heureusement que Camp Rock 2 est sous-titré "The Final Jam" car tous ceux qui apparaissent dans la suite sortie en 2010 du grand succès de 2008 de Disney Channel semblent un peu trop âgés pour ces micmacs estivaux. Les frères Jonas connaissent évidemment un bien trop grand succès pour chanter du bubble-gum aussi formaté, et Demi Lovato est paralysée par un ensemble de chansons écrites pour un projet dans lequel l’obligation contractuelle est tout sauf discrète. Exception notable : Matthew "Mdot" Finley, impresario R&B aux dents longues qui truffe cette bande son de pâles imitations du croon de Chris Brown et de répliques numériques de synthés sans jamais parvenir à camper son personnage à partir d’une telle explosion. On a là un résultat éventé, coriace et sans saveur, comme le chewing-gum de la veille.
