Boombastic

MXM was a K-pop duo formed in Seoul, South Korea, consisting of Lim Young-min and Kim Dong-hyun. Both members were trainees under Brand New Music. Their journey began with their participation in the show Produce 101 Season 2 in 2017. Although they didn't come out victorious, they embarked on their music career as a duo. Later in 2017, MXM debuted with the promotional single "Good Day," introducing them to the music world. This was soon followed by the release of their EP Unmix in 2017. The duo gained immediate recognition, leading to their participation in the Brand New World Seoul concert on September 22. The following year, MXM released their second EP Match Up, which included the lead single "Diamond Girl." Their momentum continued with the double single Rematch in March 2018, featuring tracks like "Gone Cold" and "Love Me Now." This period also saw them embark on a photobook project with Makestar, further expanding their artistic outreach. In 2018, MXM released their first full-length album More Than Ever (2018), which landed in the Top 5 of South Korea's Circle Albums Chart. Throughout their career, MXM received several award nominations, including the Golden Disc Awards for New Artist of the Year, Melon Music Awards for Best New Artist, and Seoul Music Awards in multiple categories including New Artist Award, Popularity Award, and Hallyu Special Award. In 2019, the duo took a new direction, joining the new boy group AB6IX under Brand New Music.
