Allie Sherlock

Teenage pop singer and guitarist Allie Sherlock kickstarted her career on YouTube, where she began uploading covers to her own channel in 2014. Born on April 7, 2005 in Cork, Ireland, Allie Sherlock cut her teeth as a busker on the streets of her city before a YouTube cover of her performing Ed Sheeran's "Supermarket Flowers" went viral in June 2017. That year she released her self-debut debut album of 10 cover songs. She was just 12 at the time and the video sealed her fate as a gifted young singer, leading to an appearance on The Ellen DeGeneres Show the following year, where she performed the song "Million Years Ago" by Adele. She also performed "Perfect" by Ed Sheeran on RTÉ One's The Ray D'Arcy Show that same year and scored a record deal; a five-year contract with Patriot Records, owned by One Republic lead vocalist Ryan Tedder who has worked Ed Sheeran, Adele, Beyonce, U2, Paul McCartney and more. In 2020, Allie Sherlock was part of a collective of female artists called Irish Women in Harmony that recorded a version of "Dreams" by the Cranberries to raise awareness of domestic abuse. In 2021, she recorded a cover of "Purple Rain" by Prince with fellow busker Jessica Doolan.
