This compilation spanning the career of one of CCM's longtime favorites is not to be confused with 2000's Arise My Love, also subtitled "The Very Best of NewSong." This collection comes six years and a world of success later. The runaway popularity of "The Christmas Shoes" and four well-received albums made another greatest-hits package inevitable. With a discography and mantle collection as impressive as theirs (17 number one songs), NewSong have shaped vocal music with every incarnation. The collection includes hits that go all the way back to 1995's People Get Ready, but mostly focuses on their years with Reunion Records (2000-2005). It's anyone's guess why they narrowed it down to ten tracks, and fans no doubt have fought over why some were included or left off. But regardless of why they chose the final cuts, NewSong proved how their smooth harmonies and passionate delivery had earned them the reputation of CCM's premier vocal group, making them an adult contemporary staple for over 20 years.
