On their second album, 2012's Save the Nation, Royal Republic continue the rock & roll-inspired garage rock which propelled its predecessor into the Swedish and German charts. They also demonstrate a healthy sense of confidence: in the opening track, singer Adam Grahn proclaims "I'm the spokesman of the generation/no-one but me can save the nation." With an energetic, fast-paced sound that recalls Mando Diao and the Hives, Save the Nation entered the German charts at number 14 and the Swedish charts at number 24.
