Plenty of Love, the second album by German soul singer Mic Donet (his first, 2004's Stille Wasser, was released under the name Mic), was finished back in 2008, but it remained unreleased -- however, when Donet became a contestant in the casting show The Voice of Germany in 2011, he was able to play the album to Xavier Naidoo, who championed the record (calling it "Grammy-worthy" and "unbelievably good") and helped to get it released through Universal. Throughout the album's 11 tracks, Donet and his co-producer, Aristoteles Loukissas, eschew synths and programmed drums, instead focusing on a more organic sound that combines elements of soul-pop and light funk. Plenty of Love entered the German charts at number four.
