Kleiton & Kledir is a duo of singer/composer brothers who have been making success since the '80s in Brazil. This release explores classics from the gaúcho (from their home land, the Rio Grande do Sul state) repertory instead of their own compositions. Not as representative as the more known folkloric grooves from southeast and northeast, the gaúchos also have an important culture. In this release, one wouldn't get acquainted with the truest folkloric tradition, as the duo's concept was to bring these old, folkloric or popular songs to contemporary renditions that include even vinyl scratches, always in a danceable pace.
