Yura Yunita
Yura Yunita – born Yunita Rachman on June 9, 1991 in Bandung, West Java, Indonesia – is a Sundanese pop, blues and R&B singer, songwriter and musician. After earning her Faculty of Communications Bachelor’s degree from Padjadjaran University, she pursued a musical career. Her first album, Yura, was released in 2014. The album contained the hit singles “Balada Sirkus”, “Cinta Dan Rahasia” (featuring Glenn Fredly), and “Berawal Dari Tatap”. She was nominated for many 2015 awards from the Indonesian Choice Awards, Anugerah Musik Indonesia, and the Hai Reader’s Poll Music Awards. In 2016, she guested on singles by Afgan (“Berani Sadari”) and RAN (“Melawan Dunia”). In September 2018, Yura Yunita released her second album, Merakit, featuring the singles “Intuisi”, “Harus Bahagia”, “Takkan Apa”, and “Buka Hati”. In 2020, Yunita was one of four Indonesian female vocalists to perform the song “Reflection” for the soundtrack to the live-action remake of Disney’s Mulan. She performed the song with SIVIA, Agatha Pricilla, and Nadin Amizah.
