Talha Anjum

Often credited for his pivotal role in introducing Urdu rap into the mainstream Pakistani music industry rapper, songwriter, and lyricist Talha Anjum was born on October 3, 1996, in Karachi, Sindh. He began his music career participating in numerous rap battles during his school days. His first original release, "Burger-e-Karachi," came out in 2013 and became a hit, catapulting him to fame. Anjum gained recognition for co-founding the Urdu-language hip-hop group Young Stunners, along with Talhah Yunus. The band, established in 2012, also featured frequent collaborations with music producer Jokhay. Throughout his career, Anjum and his group have produced several successful hits including "Gumaan," "Don't Mind," and "Groove Mera," which was the anthem for PSL 6. In addition to his career with Young Stunners, Talha Anjum has also had successful collaborations with other artists; in 2020, he collaborated with Asim Azhar, Shamoon Ismail, and Raamis on the track "Tum Tum." The following year, he was part of a promotional campaign for Pepsi with the release of the track "Why Not." 2023 saw the release of Talha Anjum's solo album Open Letter, which features a more mature take on his trademark sound. The album boasts songs like "Downers At Dusk," which quickly became one of his most streamed tracks.
