Ramy Ayach

Lebanese hitmaker Ramy Ayach earned his "Pop Star" crown through dogged commitment to the cultural cause. Born on August 18, 1980 in Baakline, Lebanon, he came into prominence after winning the lauded Pan-Arab talent show competition Studio Al Fan in 1997. The win paved the way for his debut album, Ra2e3, which was released in 1998 and yielded hits in "Bghanila w bde2ela" and "la3younak bade ghane." He went on to cement his status as a leading light of Arab pop across his next three albums, album, Mo3jiza (1999), Diwan Al Hob (2000) and W al2ah (2001). His 2004 album, Ya Msahar 3eni, is widely considered to be among his very best, spawning hits in "Ya Msahar 3eni" and "Mabrouk." 2007 also weathered a hit album in Habaytak Ana, which took Ramy Ayach to the Opera Houses of Cairo and Alexandria in Egypt, making him the first Arab artist to perform at both. By 2015, he had moved into acting, making his debut in thriller Paparazzi and stepping into the leading role of Prince Omar Chehab in the 2016 hit drama series based on the life and times of the aforementioned Lebanese royal, Amir El Leil. He won the Best Male Actor & Singer award at the Murex d'Or 2017 awards for his performance, as well as picking up the Murex d'Or for Best Song of the Year for the same series. New album Qesset Hob came in 2019 and in 2022 he issued a new single, the envigorating "Yala Noros."
