Kryptos Quartet
Kryptos are the first Indian rock band to release an album with a U.S.-based record label. Sticking to old-school thrash and melodic metal, Kryptos spearheaded the Bangalore metal scene in the late '90s. Formed in 1998 by Ganesh K and Nolan Lewis, Kryptos quickly gained popularity in certain circles, with an early lineup featuring Akshay Patel on guitars and Ryan Colaco on drums. Released in 2004, their Spiral Ascent debut helped them expand their audience and secure a deal with OSM Records. Ganesh K and Akshay Patel were replaced by former Mutiny members Jayawant Tewari and Rohit Chaturvedi. Ark of Gemini was released in 2008.
