HaHa

As a regular face on South Korean TV, Haha has become one of the country's go-to presenters, with his idiosyncratic style also earning him acting roles and a successful music career. Debuting musically in 2005, Haha would sporadically release albums and singles over the intervening years, including 2011's Quana Ninomarley a.k.a. Haha Reggae Wave and 2021's Gap. Born in Stuttgart, Germany in 1979, Haha (aka Ha Dong-hoon) moved backed to South Korea as a child and would go on to earn a degree in Music and Acting. His first foray into music came in 2001, when he joined the short-lived boy band Z-kiri, but after just a year the group disbanded and Haha found himself co-hosting the show What's Up YO! Haha moved further into television, earning a part in the sitcom Nonstop and becoming a regular guest on the variety show X-man. In 2005 Haha joined the presenting team for Infinite Challenge, a weekly reality show that became a staple of Saturday night Korean TV. That same year he also issued his debut album as Haha, The Beautiful Rhyme Diary. Following a brief stopgap for two years while he completed military service, Haha resumed his TV career in 2010 while also focusing more on his music career. His debut EP, Quana Ninomarley a.k.a. Haha Reggae Wave, dropped in 2011 and a year later the collaborative album, Acoustic Tuning Time, which saw him team up with Taw, hit the Korean charts. Haha continued his work in TV, taking on numerous presenting jobs and acting roles, with his music career taking a backseat. After a handful of singles over the intervening years, he issued his sophomore EP, Gap, in 2021.
