Genezio
French rapper Genezio, also nicknamed Mr. Gé or Big Genezio, but who keeps his real identity a secret, hails from Villeneuve-Saint-Georges, in the Val-de-Marne region of France. He started out in 2021 with a series of freestyles that he posted online under the name Vibestars. His melodic rap is inspired by the everyday life of a young neighborhood boy. It is tinged with Congolese rumba, a form of homage to his parents' origins. In 2022, after a string of isolated tracks such as "Elle m'appelle", "Ça va vite" and "Patate", the diastematic rapper released his first full-length project: Vibestars: Pré-Saison. This was followed by major media exposure, as he opened for Tiakola at La Cigale. In February 2023, he delivers the album Vibestars: Saison 1, which includes a collaboration with Leto on "G'en reviens pas" and one with Ms Tungi on "GMD" . By autumn, Genezio is back with Vibestars: Saison 2 (ranked 35th in France), a triple album featuring the previous opus, several previously released single tracks and a set of new tracks, including collaborations with Dadju, Landy, Gambino La MG, Naza and Guy2Bezbar.
