fhana

Fhána is a Japanese indie pop band known for their extensive contributions to anime soundtracks. Formed in 2012 by Jun'ichi Satō, Yuxuki Waga, and Kevin Mitsunaga, the band started off as an instrumental trio and made their debut with the independently-released New World Line, which featured four guest vocalists. Later that year, singer Towana joined their ranks as the band signed a recording contract with Lantis. Their major-label debut, the single “Que Sera Sera,” arrived in 2013 and was used as the ending theme for the anime The Eccentric Family. An updated version of their debut album titled View from New World Line came out in 2014, followed by the LP Outside of Melancholy (2015), which peaked at Number 8 on the Oricon charts and featured the singles “Tiny Lamp,” “Divine Intervention,” and “Hoshikuzu no Interlude.” Preceded by the singles “Wonder Stella,” “Comet Lucifer (The Seed and the Sower),” and “Niji o Ametara,” their second album What a Wonderful World Line (2016) reached Number 22 in Japan and all three of its singles appeared in anime series. World Atlas, Fhána’s third full-length, was issued in 2018, reaching Number 30 on the Oricon charts. In the following years, Fhána released the singles “Boku o Mitsumete” (2019), “Hoshi o Atsumete” (2020), and “Ai no Supreme!” (2021), the opening theme for the anime Miss Kobayashi's Dragon Maid S.
