Favorite Weapon
A five-piece post-hardcore band out of Atlanta, Georgia, Favorite Weapon grew out of the dissolution of Rise Records' Woe, Is Me, and in some corners is considered a continuation of that band. Featuring ex-Woe, Is Me frontman vocalist Hance Alligood along with guitarists Alex Heroes and Andi Encinas, bassist Robbie Buisson, and drummer Kortney Grinwis, Favorite Weapon caused a bit of an online controversy when Woe, Is Me's Facebook page was simply and suddenly changed to the name of the new band, essentially giving Favorite Weapon an instant 80,000-plus fans, many of whom initially had no idea who the new band was. Sticking with Rise Records, Favorite Weapon released a debut album, Sixty Saragossa, recorded and produced by Tom Denney, in 2014, led by a first single, "Hollow."
