Duawne Starling

A veteran studio vocalist with a lengthy list of backing credits to his name, contemporary Christian singer Duawne Starling didn't launch his solo career until 2004. Prior to that, the Virginia native spent a decade working with a wide variety of artists including BeBe and CeCe Winans, Fred Hammond, Michael Jackson, Dolly Parton, and Michael McDonald before striking out on his own. With the release of his 2004 debut, Inside Out, Starling's soulful, impressive tenor and inspirational songwriting quickly won over fans within the gospel and CCM communities and beyond. In addition to his musical endeavors, he has also worked as an actor, as a model, and as both a radio and television host, with programs on the 3ABN Network and Family News Radio. In 2011, Starling had the honor of singing the theme song of the civil rights movement, "We Shall Overcome," at the Dr. Martin Luther King Memorial Dedication in Washington, D.C., where he also lives. His long-awaited second album, Deeper Faith, was recorded live at Bridgeway Community Church in Columbia, Maryland and released in late 2015.
