DJ Infamous
A founding member of the turntablist crew the-Allies, a frequent collaborator with Ludacris, and a solo artist on his own, Miami's DJ Infamous is the man behind hits like Lil Wayne's "Mr. Carter" and Meek Mill's "Maybach Curtains." Born Marco Rodriguez-Diaz, Infamous played guitar in bands and competed in turntablist contests with his DJ crew, the-Allies. In 1998 he won the ITF USA DJ Champion competition while 1999 saw him win the DMC USA Team DJ Champion competition, a title he won again in 2000 and 2001. His production career kicked off in 2005 when three of his cuts landed on Juelz Santana's album What the Game's Been Missing!, while his relationship with Weezy began in 2007 with one cut on the Lil Wayne EP The Leak. "Mr. Carter" followed in 2008 along with work on Wayne's album Tha Carter III, including playing keyboards and guitar alongside singer Betty Wright on the track "Playin' with Fire."
