Since 22-Pistepirkko have been around for over 15 years, it's obvious that they have earned the right to do something special. Though remix compilation isn't usually a perfect solution for this, 22-Pistepirkko have succeeded to make a decent remix and remake album with artists such as Larry and the Lefthanded and Finland's electro-superstar Jimi Tenor. Just a few problems pop up when listening to Zipcode: remixes are either too far from or too near to the original 22-Pistepirkko version. Well, of course it depends on the listener which way is better, but it is kind of disturbing when Vesa Lankinen plays a 22-Pistepirkko song that has been altered so much that you can't even recognize it, or when Larry and the Lefthanded covers "(Just a) Little Bit More" with the same arrangement but only a little bit distorted sound. Though there are some excellent tracks, Jimi Tenor's remake of hit song "Birdy" and 22-Pistepirkko's own remixes and remakes seem to be the only songs on this album that truly steal your attention. After all, Zipcode isn't a bad compilation -- it just doesn't work for anyone who doesn't understand 22-Pistepirkko and electronic music. But for diehard fans of 22-Pistepirkko, Zipcode is a must-buy.
